The new 2010 Toyota Matrix continues to be a leader in an economical compact crossover. It gets an EPA mileage of City: 20 – 26 and Highway: 26 – 32, and starts at a very affordable MSRP of $16,550 – $20,770. The benefits of the 2010 Matrix include its
cabin utility, cornering performance, quality dashboard fit and finish, backseat roominess, and standard safety features. The Matrix comes in a base version as well as S and sporty XRS trim levels. The Matrix competes with the Kia Spectra5, Mazda3 and related Pontiac Vibe. For 2010, the Matrix gets a standard electronic stability system and traction control. All models are front-wheel drive, except for the specially equipped all-wheel-drive S model, which is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The base and FWD S models come with a basic rear torsion beam suspension; AWD S and XRS models get a more complex rear double wishbone suspension, which provides a more compliant ride.
