Whether gas prices are up or the economy is down, pickup trucks still rank among the most popular vehicles on the road. Trucks, even in the past decade have become not just a bare-bones people and cargo hauler, but sophisticated and technologically advanced vehicles.  The same cutting-edge technology found in passenger cars is also available on many trucks.  With everyone from construction workers to computer programmers driving pickups these days, it makes perfect sense for trucks to incorporate technology and conveniences once reserved only for cars.

Toyota is known for its technical innovation, and the company has brought it into its full-size Tundra truck. The SR5 and Limited models are available with a DVD navigation system, backup camera, a JBL audio system with 12 speakers and 440 watts of amplification and Bluetooth hands-free phone capability. And all Tundras incorporate Toyota's Star Safety system—with Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist—along with driver- and front-passenger side airbags and front and rear roll-sensing side-curtain airbags.

Safer, more comfortable, and more convenient, that is what the trend of pickup trucks is, and this is certainly a glimpse into the future of the truck industry, where trucks will go beyond what they are today.
The Toyota Tundra has joined the trend, and is well prepared against the rest of the market.
