Toyota Reliability
Toyota Motor Co.'s models did well in Consumer Reports list of most reliable cars. The results of the study, which surveyed more than 1.4 million Consumer Reports subscribers on model years 1999 to 2008, show Scion vehicles, which are owned by Toyota, as the overall most reliable vehicle. Consumer Reports also ranked predicted reliability of 2009 models based on survey results from previous years. Again, Toyota scored high in many categories. The Scion xD was named the most reliable in the ‘Small Car’ category, the Toyota Prius won the ‘Family Car’ category, Toyota Matrix won the ‘wagon’ category, the Toyota Sequoia received most reliable in the ‘Large SUV’ category, and the Toyota Tundra (V-6) placed first in the “Pickup Truck’ category. Toyota FJ Cruiser was named the second most reliable small SUV.
