The Toyota Camry Hybrid

The Toyota Camry Hybrid is mid-size sedan fitted with a high-tech, gasoline-electric hybrid system.  Fuel efficiency is the obvious selling point on the 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid.  It gets an estimate of 33 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the higway.  The Camry hybrid has a similar system as the Prius;  it can move on electric power alone at low speeds; at higher speeds, when more power is needed, the vehicle uses combinations of electric power and gas-engine power.  It charges the battery system on its own while coasting or braking.  Although the Hybrid has additional components, the passenger and cargo space are affected little.
 
The 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid comes with more standard equipment than the normal Camry; it includes a Smart Key system, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Plasmacluster ionizer, 16-inch steel wheels, and AM/FM/single CD audio system with six speakers.

The Camry Hybrid also excells at safety; it received Five-star results in the federal government’s crash tests.  The 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid comes with a knee airbag for the driver as well as full-length curtain and front seat side-impact airbags, for seven airbags in total, plus the VDIM stability control system.

The Toyota Camry Hybrid is an excellent alternative to better known hybrids for some, as it combines a traditional American sedan with a responsive hybrid system.  The vehicle gives a smooth and well controlled ride.  It is priced lower than V-6 conventional Camrys, with an MSRP starting at $26,150.
Any cons about the car would be that it is difficult to maintain  steady speed without cruise control, it doesn’t handle as well as other Camrys and its style is so similar to non-hybrid Camrys, there is little to tell them apart.

Those doubtful that hybrids are worth the typical high pricetag may find some reassurance in the Hybrid Camry.  Take into account it is less than the V-6, and only slighty more than the V-4 Gasoline powered, and it gets about 10 mpg higher in real-world city driving than the four-cylinder, this hybrid makes nothing but sense.
